Searson
On Thursday, June 19, 2008, the Celtic folk rock group Searson
will kick off the Keltic Koncert Series when
they bring their high
energy show to Frank O’Dowd’s Irish Pub
in Galena, Illinois.
Hailing from Ottawa Valley, Ontario, Searson has become the exciting new act on the music scene and is playing extensively in Canada
and the United States. Known for fusing traditional instruments with fresh contemporary sounds, Searson has been described as a
‘cross between The Cranberries and Shania Twain.’ Fiddle, strong vocals, bass, electric and acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjo and
step dancing make for an exciting, high energy show.
Tickets are $7 at the door or available in
advance by calling 866.284.7474.
The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with performances by
Lost in the Harbour
and the Mayer-McHugh School of Irish Dance.
Package Information
A special Searson lodging package, starting at $99 complete with overnight accommodations and
tickets to the show, is available at The Irish Cottage
