The young Irish band, Rising Gael, will perform live Thursday, July 17, 2008, at Frank O’Dowd’s Irish Pub in Galena, Illinois.

This young Irish band plays original and tradition Irish music in new, exciting arrangements. The driving rhythms and fast fiddle playing mixed with pure, powerful vocals, result in a rich and innovative sound.  By transforming traditional tunes into modern arrangements and performing compelling original selections, Rising Gael creates a rich musical experience.

Rising Gael has performed at many Celtic music festivals including Texas's Austin Music Festival; Illinois's Celtic Fest Chicago; the Wisconsin Highland Games; and Wisconsin's Milwaukee Irish Fest.
