Pub Murals

Bubbling beneath the surface of every Irishman and woman is a musician, writer, storyteller or artist yearning to perform, write, speak or draw. Throughout Ireland’s history, murals became a popular way to tell a story and those that did it well were kept quite busy going from village to village and often times pub to pub.

Following this time-honored tradition, we invited renowned muralist, Dymphna Curray, from Co. Galway, to decorate the walls of the pub. Now Frank O’Dowd’s Irish Pub boasts several of the finest murals, some reminiscent of the Book of Kells, this side of Lisdoonvarna.
