Searson
June 19, 2008
This Ontario-based Celtic group features sisters
Colleen, Erin and Heather Searson. The girls
play fiddle, bass, guitar, mandolin, piano and
banjo as well as step dance and sing. They’ve
taken the stage at Frank O’Dowd’s before and
their shows are high-energy! Don’t miss the
opportunity to see these sisters perform
traditional and original music which Erin
describes as a “Celtic mix with a rocky edge.”
Rising Gael
July 17, 2008
This young Irish band is setting the standard
for modern Celtic music. Rising Gael plays
original and traditional Irish music in new,
exciting arrangements. This combination of old
and new gives Rising Gael an energetic, unique
sound that you will not want to miss!
Elevation
August 21, 2008
Recreating the total U2 concert experience in
both sight and sound, U2 fans will thrill at the
attention to detail from the Bono look-a-like,
sound-a-like frontman Daniel Burrow, a.k.a.
Danno, to the custom stage attire and the Vox
amps and Paiste signature cymbals. Elevation
recreates the magic of U2 - don’t be surprised
to find yourself singing along to old and new U2
favorites.
The Neverly Brothers
September 18, 2008
The Neverly Brothers illustrates how the music
and energy of the 1950s American Rockabilly
pioneers set the stage for the adventurous young
bands of the British Invasion movement. The
band’s historical narrative and sequence of
songs bridge the gap between 1955 and 1965 – an
important time in rock n’ roll history.
