St. Patrick's Day Every Day!
  The
Irish Cottage Boutique Hotel celebrates St.
Patrick’s Day every day! You’ll experience the
true feel of the Emerald Isle while relaxing at
The Irish Cottage. Through warm hospitality,
well-appointed guestrooms, art, music, dance,
food & drink, you will live life and, if for only
a day, become Irish.
Located on site, Frank O’Dowd’s Irish Pub is
Galena’s most dynamic entertainment venue with
Irish dancing and talented entertainers live on
stage every weekend throughout the year. In
March, we’ll welcome Tony Leonard, Jeff Ward,
Katie and Brownie, and Andreas to the stage.
Frank O'Dowd's captivating atmosphere is the
perfect place to enjoy an appetizing menu item,
along with an import or domestic beer. This month our culinary staff recommends pairing
Peggy’s Shepherd’s Pie, a delectable dish of ground beef, onions, carrots and peas, baked in
a casserole and topped with mashed potatoes, with Smithwick’s, Ireland’s oldest brew.
During March, diners can enjoy a special meal for
two complete with two salads, a hearty bowl of Dingle Bay Seafood
Medley - shrimp, mussels, crab meat and haddock
in a zesty tomato sauce served over a bed of
pasta and one piece of chocolate cake. This
romantic meal for two is offered at $28.95.
The Irish Cottage honors Ireland’s heritage and the Irish zest for life every day by fusing
Gaelic traditions with modern 21st century accommodations.
Owners, Jack Coulter (Co. Dublin) and Basil Conroy (Co. Kildare), themselves Irish immigrants, built The Irish
Cottage as a representation of their history. Jack and Basil hope to inspire guests to relax
and enjoy Ol, Ceol agus Craic (a good pint, great music and wonderful entertainment) all year round.
