This year's Keltic Koncert Series promises to be exciting with a different musical group taking the stage each month at Frank O’Dowd’s Irish Pub.  On Thursday, June 19, 2008, the Celtic folk rock group Searson will kick off the series bringing their high energy show to Galena, Illinois.

Hailing from Ottawa Valley, Ontario, Searson has become the exciting new act on the music scene and is playing extensively in Canada and the United States. Known for fusing traditional instruments with fresh contemporary sounds, Searson has been described as a ‘cross between The Cranberries and Shania Twain.’ Fiddle, strong vocals, bass, electric and acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjo and step dancing make for an exciting, high energy show.
