Acoustic guitar flatpicker and singer
Beppe Gambetta
will perform live on Sunday, September 30, 2012, at
Frank O’Dowd’s Irish Pub & Grill in Galena, Illinois.
His unique background as an Italian musician in love with both American roots
music as well as the music of his native country, Gambetta technique is
characterized by flashy licks, intricate cross-picking patterns, open tunings
and fluid slides up and down the neck of the guitar.
Gambetta has performed in prestigious rooms like the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and the Metropolitan Museum of Art
in New York and at well-known festivals throughout the U.S. and Canada. His festival appearances included Walnut
Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas; Merlefest in North Carolina; Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas. He's appeared
on radios shows including All Things Considered and E-Town.
